Top 10 Christmas Movies on Netflix

Over the last week or so, I have been trying to find Christmas movies to watch on Netflix. Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year, and Christmas movies are a great part of it. Now that we have Oliver, we can snuggle up with him and some hot cocoa and eggnog and binge watch some Netflix! Here are my favorites, in order of how much I enjoy them. Keep reading below to see my favorite movie outfit!

1. 12 Dates of Christmas
This one is an ABC movie, so you know it’s a cute one. It follows a very classic story line for a Christmas movie – the main character, Kate, relives Christmas Eve over and over again until she gets it right. Kate is so worried about winning her ex-boyfriend back, she ends up ruining her blind date with Miles, a handsome guy she’s been set up with. In a strange twist of fate, Kate has the chance to re-live the same day twelve times in an attempt to finally get it right and discover what really matters to her isn’t what she thought.

2. A Christmas Kiss
This movie is absolutely adorable and has quickly become an instant favorite. The used-to-be-fun Wendy is an aspiring designer with a horrible, demanding boss named Priscilla. When Wendy gets stuck in an elevator with a mysterious, handsome man in the elevator, she soon discovers that it’s Priscilla’s boyfriend, Adam. Things get complicated quickly… especially because the chemistry between Wendy and Adam is SO strong, it really sells the movie. This is the epitome of a Christmas chick flick!
3. A Christmas Prince
I don’t think I saw this one on there last year so I’m assuming it’s new..and it’s such a cute one! A reporter named Amber who’s assigned her first “big-break story” – writing a story about a prince in another country who is supposedly a bit of a playboy. When she arrives in at the castle, she is hunting for her story and ends up being mistaken as the American tutor for the prince’s little sister. She begins to live in the castle with and the royal family and discovers  more than she came to find out. She starts to fall in love with the prince… but what happens when they find out she’s not who she said she was?

4. A Christmas Kiss 2
This one is the sequel to “A Christmas Kiss” and – surprise – also involves a kiss in an elevator. I personally enjoyed the original “A Christmas Kiss” more, but this one is still worth a watch – it’s really cute!! I even shed a little tear at the end. Jenna is a hardworking assistant at Trend, a fashion magazine. After filling in at a Christmas photo shoot, a mysterious, handsome man kisses her under the mistletoe in the elevator. She soon learns that this man is her boss’s brother, who also has a not-so-pleasant reputation of being a playboy. However, the more time Jenna spends with him, she can’t help but like him. He works hard to win her over and prove this time is different.

5. Back to Christmas
This movie threw me for a loop and I wasn’t sure what to expect. The main character, Ali, travels back one year in time to try to fix her broken engagement. After working to fix thing, she starts to realize that he may not have been the right one for her after all. The ending is an emotional roller coaster, but definitely worth watching!!
6. Christmas Inheritance
I think this movie is new, too. It’s on the popular list, so I had to give it a watch. Ellen is a socialite who is set to inherit her fathers company. She is a little wild to be a CEO anytime soon, though. Her father insists she goes back to his hometown where his company was started to deliver a personal letter as a Christmas tradition. Ellen finds more in Snow Falls than she anticipated.
7. Merry Kissmas
In this one, a girl named Kayla is engaged to a narcissistic film and stage director/choreographer who doesn’t care about anyone but himself. Their relationship is very obviously struggling. When Kate accidentally kisses a man in an elevator (where do these women find these elevators??) they end up falling for each other. It’s not the best acting I’ve ever seen, but the story is cute.
8. The Santa Clause
Another Classic! My sister and I used to watch this together every year, sometimes even when it wasn’t Christmas. Scott Calvin, a constantly working dad who has an iffy relationship with his son Charlie, gets sucked into becoming Santa Clause. Initially, he thinks it’s a dream, but comes to find out it’s not. It throws his whole world for a loop before learning to accept who he is.

9. The Christmas Card
Even though the acting in this movie was preeeetty bad, the story was adorable. A soldier receives a Christmas card from a stranger while on deployment, and ends up coming to the town the card came from, and of course he falls for the woman who sent it. They have some troubles along the way, but it’s a very sweet story and I definitely recommend it!

10. How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Who hasn’t seen the Grinch? It’s one of my favorite movies in general, not only at Christmas. I only put it at the end because I figured most people had seen it already. I’ll watch it 10 times in a row and not get sick of it! It’s always good to have a friendly reminder of the true meaning of Christmas.
