With getting the puppy yesterday, it slipped my mind that Fridays are for work week outfits! Whoops. He’s so cute though, I hope his surprise video will make up for it.
This week at work was pretty busy because Thursday was our Christmas Party. My company’s culture is pretty unique and hard to explain. Because pretty much the only people I work with are the Executive Team that own the company, they really can do as they please. That involves having a fully stocked liquor and wine bar.
Knowing this, and know that meant everyone would be having a good time Thursday, and then be hungover Friday, we really only had 3 days to get a week of work done. But we did it!
Monday I was going for simplicity. I love the Express Portofino shirts because they look great, fit great, and are really comfortable. These Paige jeans are also amazingly comfortable, and my heels are probably as good as heels can be. The pearl necklace always dresses things up another notch.
Tuesday was COLD. I wanted to be warm in this Republic cowl neck sweater. The only bad thing about this sweater is it sheds like crazy. It’s incredibly soft and yummy, but gets fuzz everywhere. My Ralph Lauren riding boots are very warm and comfortable, too. Add my long leaf necklace to add a fun layer.
I was feeling bold Wednesday and tried an outfit I’ve never worn before. I layered this Express sweater over this tie-neck blouse I got at Forever 21 a few years ago. I wasn’t sure how it’d look, but I’ve received a lot of complements on it so I guess it is IG approved! Liverpool Jeans and RL boots finish it off. And of course, my favorite watch.
We are currently re-doing our website at work, and that includes getting headshots done. So Thursday morning, I wore this ivory cowl neck blouse from Banana Republic, another pair of my Paige jeans, my black Express blazer (I matched with my friend Ro), and my OTK Steve Madden boots. I love these boots! I only wore this for half the day, but loved the look.
Since Thursday was the Christmas Party, we all brought clothes to change into so we weren’t so fancy. You see my co-worker Ro curled my hair for the pictures; I loved the way it looked. For the party, I wanted to be warm and comfortable, and this RD Style sweater did the trick. It’s from my second Stitch Fix box, and I love it! The bottom of the look is still the same.
Friday was all about comfort. We had a short meeting in the morning and that was it. Everyone but me was struggling from the night before (I don’t really drink and had 1 glass of wine the whole day). Since I knew we wouldn’t be doing much, I decided to wear my Level 99 distressed jeans from my third Stitch Fix box. They’re so comfortable and look so cute. This big Express sweater is also warm and comfortable. We spent most of the day working from the couches in the conference room, so this outfit was perfect.
