I put a survey up on my IG story this week asking you guys what you wanted to read this week, and it was a 50/50 tie between my workout routine and my favorite workout clothes. So I’ll be doing both! Thank you to everyone who voted!

My workout routine has to be on point right now because my wedding is 8 short months away. A few months ago, I came across BodyBoss on Facebook and started reading into it more. I wanted a workout routine that offered some variety, that was relatively short and was for full-body workouts. This hit all of my categories and had great reviews.

When I started this workout routine, I was 130 pounds. I had gained 12 lbs over the previous 6 months. I was not overweight by any means, but it was definitely noticeable to me and showed in how my clothes fit. I felt uncomfortable and knew something needed to change. I also wanted to just be more healthy overall. I knew I wasn’t eating well enough and that partnered with my lack of exercise caused me to slide into some unhealthy habits.

Need more fitness tips? I’ve got you.

Since starting this program, I’ve lost 8 pounds and I’ve gained some muscle and definition in the process. I went from not having any energy at all to actually looking forward to working out.

So, what is BodyBoss?

A 12-week work out system designed using HIIT (high intensity interval training) workouts to get your heart rate up and burn calories quickly. Mondays and Wednesdays are the HIIT workouts, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are Cardio days, and Friday is a “Power Up” for the whole body.

Getting your heart rate up for the HIIT workouts does something they call the “Boss Effect”, which is when your body is still burning fat AFTER you finish the workouts due to the intensity of the training.

BodyBoss also has a 4 week pre-training routine to complete, because the workouts can be pretty intense when you first start out if you haven’t worked out in a while (like me!). I have no problem admitting I definitely took part in the pre-training workouts and it really helped prepare me for the full workouts down the road.

If you really follow the system (after the pre-training) it takes 12 weeks to transform your body. I saw noticeable results after 3 weeks, which was motivation to keep going. Their Instagram page also shows a lot of people (of all shapes and sizes) and their transformations as well.

They also just came out with a healthy eating guide as part of the package!

I agree with Kelsey!! You look fabulous! I just had my second baby 2.5 months ago and after back-to-back pregnancies, I need something like this to get great results fast without long workout times to get back to my pre-preggo weight. Please do let us know if you do a giveaway!

I’m due to have our second little one any time now and I had just reached where I wanted to be weight/size-wise after the first kiddo when I got pregnant with this one. We are so excited to meet the new addition to our family but I am also anxious to start a workout program that I will see results with. I’m always skeptical of weight-loss programs and spending money on something you only hope will work. You had great results and I love the idea of this program being able to fit into a busy schedule with two little ones! If you do a giveaway, please let me know!

Hi, just came across this article you wrote. I have a similar situation. I have about 12 lbs to lose. I work out 5-6 times a week and I just can’t budge the scale. I’m thinking maybe my body is too used to what I have been doing and needs a change like Body Boss. Or it could be that I’m getting ready to turn 67….. nah….I’m not going down without a fight. Lol
