Happy Friday! Does anyone else feel like this week flew by? I can’t believe it’s already the weekend. Not complaining, of course.
I actually got to spend my first full week back in the office in the last 4 weeks, and it was extremely productive. It’s such a nice feeling to get so much done. I love it.
Also, if you noticed, the blog got a makeover! I am in love with the new design. It feels so clean and consistent.
I’m getting a Keratin treatment for my hair in a few weeks to keep me from having to straighten it all the time, so I’m wearing it up a lot so that I don’t have to damage it more before I get it treated. You’ll be seeing it up a lot over the next 2 weeks and I am deep conditioning it every week now to ty and moisturize it. Because it’s so curly, it dries out so easily. I hope this treatment breathes some life back into it.
As for this weeks outfits, here we go::
From my big shopping spree at Express, I seriously love this sweater. If you haven’t picked up, I really love cowl neck sweaters. It’s like having a built in scarf. Big extra layer around the neck = warmth. These Liverpool jeans are so comfortable, always part of my rotation. I added the leg warmers and warm boots since it was a whopping ZERO degrees here in KC earlier this week. I was all about warm sweaters this week.Shop this look here.
Another sweater from my Express sale splurge that I am in love with. The slight bell sleeves add such a cute touch but aren’t too dramatic. I love the front detail, and of course the color. Ivory is so clean and bright. It is nice to be able to wear jeans to work. I wore my boots again because it was so bitterly cold and they are pretty nicely insulated. My Kate Spade purse (similar here) was a gift from a co-worker and I love it. It’s the perfect cross-body bag and goes with everything.
This sweater is also from Express, but I got it before the big spree. I DID buy it again in ivory during that spree, though, because I love it so much. I get so many compliments on it. The balloon sleeves are so fun and the color and design in general are beautiful. These jeans are American Eagle and I actually got them at Marshalls for only $17! I am literally addicted to Marshalls, TJMaxx and HomeGoods. It’s so dangerous.
We had a few meetings Thursday so I decided to look nicer than just a sweater. I got this blazer (similar here) from The Limited a few years ago and got it tailored. I get a lot of my work clothes tailored because I love for things to fit properly, especially blazers. I have this Express Portofino shirt in 6 colors because I love how it fits and it’s perfect for work. Paige jeans are obviously my go-tos – I have 3 pairs. They’re on sale right now!! My necklace was a gift from my sister and this was the first time I’ve worn it and love it.
My company got us MORE embroidered pullovers (mine is Kuhl, but similar here) and since these are the softest and most comfortable yet, I had to break it in. The weather was surprisingly nice today, but we did go out and do a site walk so I was glad to have such a thick layer with the wind blowing. I got these jeans in a Stitch Fix box and I love them. They’re super comfortable and I love that they’re not overly distressed but have a little extra. I wish I could have thrown on some Uggs with this outfit, but I put on booties because I try to avoid being TOO casual at work. Even this pushover is pushing the limit, but it is FROM work, so of course it’s ok. I much prefer to look my best at work since you never know what they day will bring!
I hope everyone had a wonderful week!! Let me know what you think of the blog’s makeover or what your favorite outfit was below!
