Work Wear Friday – Jan. 5, 2018

This week was another weird week with New Years Day being on Monday. Jake and I were fortunate enough to spend last weekend in Texas visiting his family. When we got back on Tuesday, we really just had time to pick up Oliver and come home to relax a little before I left for a business trip on Wednesday morning. It was only 3 hours away, and I am very happy to be back home today after being away for pretty much the entire week.

Even though it was only a three day work week for me, I still have a full week of cute outfits to share!

MONDAY
Happy New Year!! Although we were in Texas, it was still super cold! I was surprised to see it would only be in the 30’s all week. This Express sweater is so warm and comfortable. I have it in maroon and I loved it so much I bought it again in ivory! I wore my lighter pair of Paige jeans, tan booties, and gold leaf necklace.

TUESDAY
Tuesday was travel day, so I wanted to be cute but comfortable. I love cowl neck sweaters, and this one is very comfy and super cute. Another purchase from my Express sale. I added a pink pendant necklace, Liverpool jeans, tan booties, and my favorite Kate Spade bag that carries everything. It was full of things for the flight.

WEDNESDAY
Early morning Wednesday before heading out. Another day comfort was very important. This is another one of the sweaters from my Express sale extravaganza. Big and comfortable, obviously my style. I wore my black Liverpool jeans from Stitch Fix, and my grey booties. The black scarf is from Express, too, but is old.

THURSDAY
Staying warm and comfortable. Day 2 of the trip was great. I paired this plain grey long sleeve shirt with my maroon skinny jeans. My scarf was a Christmas gift last year from my best friend, from Charlotte Russe, but I found one sort of similar. I wear my hair up when I’m feeling lazy.

FRIDAY
YAY for making it to another Friday!! I was unsure about this sweater when I got it, but after today, I fell in love. It’s amazingly soft and warm. Of course it has the cowl neck design I love, and I really love the slight bell sleeves. I paired it with some Liverpool jeans and my OTK boots. I felt great in this today, and it was still surprisingly comfortable to make my three hour drive in.
