Work Wear Friday – Feb. 2, 2018

Happy Friday everyone! This week was one of the slower ones I’ve had recently, and I’m glad to be to the weekend again. It’s been so busy lately with work and school, I haven’t had much of a break. But since we had more of a slow week than normal at work getting all of our applications done, it was less “crazy busy” and more “manageable busy”.
Since most of the office was out of town in Texas this week, I did get to bring Oliver to work with me on Wednesday. I do enjoy having him with me so he isn’t alone so much, but he is a big distraction for the others in my office! They love him and want to come love on him throughout the day more often than they would typically come in. Which is good, I’m glad they love him so much!
Here we go with this weeks outfits:

Monday was back to being cold. If there’s one thing I’ve learned about the weather in the Midwest is that it’s up and down all the time. It was 64 over the weekend, and snowed a little Monday! I’ve had this top for a few years and am pretty sure I got it at TJMaxx. It’s got a cute bow on the front and the top has a little sheer detail. I tried to add some similar ones to shop. The sweater is from Express, and I have it in 4 colors! I love it. It’s sold out right now but they always have new ones coming out. I’m always cold, to it’s nice to have. My Kut from the Kloth burgundy corduroy pants are on sale right now!! I’m also a huge fan of Kendra Scott, which is this necklace you see me wear a lot.

I am still taking full advantage of sweater weather. I realized this week that I’ve had this sweater since High School, meaning it’s 8-10 years old! I love it because it’s the same color green as my eyes. I tried to link similar ones but couldn’t find one very similar. I’m also trying to wear my OTK boots as much as possible before it’s too warm (mine are sold out, but here’s a similar pair). Again, this wonderful Kendra Scott necklace.

Here’s Oliver! He’s getting so big I can hardly hold him like this anymore. All of the lighting was being difficult so it’s hard to see the color, but it’s a plum purple. I have the Express Portofino shirt in at least 6 different colors. I love the way they fit and I love the style. Simple and classy. I am a HUGE fan of Liverpool jeans because they feel like pajamas, seriously. And you see my Express sweater here in another color lol! Also my favorite watch

THURSDAY
I just LOVE sweaters. Since it’s getting closer to Spring I’m really trying to wear all of mine before it gets warm. I would be the person to wear them year round and get weird looks as I’m always cold, though. This Rip Curl one is sadly sold out, but I’ve linked some similar ones here. I’m also trying to wear my tall boots while I still can as well. My American Eagle jeans are extra dark and contrast well with the light sweater.

FRIDAY – PART 1
We made it to Friday again! Yay! Today we had a few meetings in the morning so I threw on my favorite blazer (similar) over one of my many Express portofino shirts to feel on the nicer side. I’ve been wearing my hair down natural a lot because Monday I’m getting my Keratin treatment and I haven’t been wanting to straighten it and cause any more damage. I have 3 pairs of these jeans in slightly different colors and I just love them. So comfortable, can’t recommend them enough. I promise they’re worth the money!

Friday – Part 2
Since out office is being renovated and no one wants to work there, I did get to work from home for half the day today which was wonderful. I love being in my bed with my laptop. I get so much done in the peace and quiet! That is, when Oliver wasn’t demanding my attention. I changed into my favorite yoga pants (I have two pairs because I love them that much) and this Lululemon 1/2 zip puller that is SO comfortable and warm. It has a cute quilt looking stitching across the front that I tried to show.

Anyone excited for the Super Bowl this weekend? I can’t believe we’re already into February!
