Work Wear Friday – Mar. 2, 2018

Happy First Friday of March!! I can’t believe we’re already into the third month of the year. It’s crazy how quickly it’s going by.

Last week was finals week and THANKFULLY I am still maintaining my 4.0. It’s iffy when there’s a math class involved because that’s not my strong suite. But that was my last math class, now all I have left are my capstone HR classes. Thank you, Lord.
This was a busy week at work not only because we have so many closings going on, but because we had a big party Thursday and there was a lot to get ready for. Thankfully it all went off perfectly and we had a great time and got some knowledge out there about our new Boutique Retirement Club concept.
As for this weeks outfits, I didn’t find anything exceptional in terms of sales, but still found a few less expensive options just in case. I got a new phone, too, so hopefully the picture quality on my mirror pics will be better from now on!

Shop the look by clicking the PINK links, or in the SHOP tab at the top of the page.

I wanted to have a touch of Spring Monday, and blue and white stripes are very on-trend this season. I got this top from Marshalls for $20, it’s Banana Republic (cuter/similar here) and you can’t go wrong with a classic button down. These Liverpool jeans feel like butter, and some simple beige flats made life easy. I also wore my Express Moto jacket over top to be warm. It runs TTS, I wear an XS.

I’m obsessed with these Express Portofino shirts, I have so many of them. They fit great (TTS, this is an XS) and they’re so easy to dress up or wear with jeans. I threw on my favorite pearl statement necklace (similar) that I got from Forever 21 for like $10 and dressed it up a little. Still trying to milk every day of wearing boots I can.

It was more chilly Wednesday, so I threw on this cowl neck sweater (similar here and here) that I got in one of my Stitch Fix boxes. My black jeans are from Stitch Fix, too. Simple grey booties (similar) to break it up a little and I was so comfortable without looking too casual.

The day of the party we went in pretty casual since we were running around all day doing stuff to prepare, and then later changed into our fancy outfits. I am obsessed with this Patagonia vest and wear it at least once a week. It’s a little pricey but totally worth it.

I threw in a group shot of my office (plus one of the partners who came into town for the event) just because we all looked so nice. We wear jeans every day, so getting dressed up isn’t a common occurrence haha. I think we clean up pretty well, don’t you think?

THURSDAY – Fancy
Also, I got this suit a few years ago at Express and I found the Blazer and Pants version but couldn’t find the skirt, so I included that instead. I own the pants, too, but it was so nice out yesterday I wanted to be Springy. Seriously trying to force it to happen haha.

Ahh, the almost best day of the week. I don’t anticipate today will be very busy as we will probably be cleaning up and winding down from all of the chaos. I actually got to go in a little late today for that very reason! I love this scarf and want to wear it one more time before it’s too warm. It was a gift and is from Charlotte Russe. They have such cute scarves. My jeans are also from Stitch Fix and are so comfortable they feel like leggings. They’re a little high waisted and I love the support of that lol. Another day where simple flats make life easy.

Sidenote, I love that Oliver just has to be included as often as possible. I’m sure he wonders what I’m doing every day ?

Our engagement photos were rescheduled and they’re happening TOMORROW!! I’m so excited! Anyone else have exciting plans this weekend??
XO,
Dani
