Work Wear Friday – Mar. 9, 2018

This week’s Work Wear Friday is the comfort edition since I’ve been sick this week and working from home. I only went to work on Monday and have worked from home for the rest of the week since no one wanted me there with my germs. I can do my job from anywhere, which is very nice so I don’t get behind while it’s so busy.

I’m a big fan of comfy clothes, and I definitely stayed comfy (and decently cute) this week.
My cold hit me later in the day on Monday. I started off feeling great and wanted to break out this blazer (similar here and here) I got from one of my Stitch Fix boxes. It’s such a great color for Spring. My booties (similar here and here) are also perfect for Spring. Really trying to force it to happen.
Tuesday I actually didn’t change out of Jakes sweatpants all day, but felt like this was a better outfit to share will you guys from over the weekend. I shared it on Instagram and got some questions on the cardigan. It’s from Express, but sadly it’s sold out. I’ve linked some similar ones for you here. These Level 99 jeans from one of my Stitch Fix boxes are super comfortable. Again, trying to bring in Spring with the tulips.
I went into work for about 30 minutes Wednesday to pick up my first FabFitFun box (review coming soon!) and I was eager to open it. But then they made me leave because I don’t sound the best. So I had this outfit on for about an hour total haha. But I do so love this vest and will wear it as often as I can. I knew I wasn’t going to be there long so I wore my comfy mocassins. Also Oliver seriously loves to be in pictures, haha.
Comfort to the max! I love this sweatshirt. I got it from Marshalls and it’s perfect with leggings because it’s long. AND it has pockets!! I love when things have pockets, y’all. My Under Armour leggings are wonderfully comfy. And I’m a bit obsessed with my Apple Watch, I’m coming up with a post just for it to share with you guys why it’s so wonderful.

Hopefully my last sick day! I’m going on a business trip next week so I need to get healthy. I’m finally feeling better today after this nasty cold. Still all about being comfortable while working from home, though. I found this criss cross sweatshirt (similar here and here) at Marshalls, too and loove it. The back is so cute and I love that it’s oversized and long to wear with leggings. Today I’m wearing it with my cute and comfortable Free People Bralette and worlds most comfortable yoga pants. Side note, my dog is basically an accessory as he’s in every picture haha.

What’s everyone got going on this weekend?? It’s supposed to be nice here in KC, so we’ll probably take Oliver outside as much as possible.

XO,

Dani

  • I think I’m just gonna skip long sleeve season and go right into sweaters. Since I’m always cold, it should work out 🤷🏻‍♀️. I have a very strong love of sweaters and own more of them than anything else. I love to be warm! PS yes, that white stuff on my jeans is SNOW ❄️ WI was freezing 🥶
I’m currently writing my Amazon fall favorites post and this sweater is part of it 🥰. It can we worn off the shoulder like this, one shoulder or as a cowl neck. Talk about versatile 🙌🏻. I also get so much love on this hat, I linked it in this years version which comes in cream and pink. • Do you prefer neutrals or lots of color? I obviously love neutrals but pops of color/pattern are my favorite way to spice things up. I’m a big fan of scarves, and this one is a great way to participate in the leopard print trend without it being too much for me. Accessories are my favorite way to change up my wardrobe!
This scarf and belt are both @amazon wins 🙌🏻 Shop this look at Danithom.com/shop or in the @liketoknow.it app ❤️ http://liketk.it/2FUTj #liketkit #danithomblog
  • An important thing to understand about having a capsule wardrobe is that it can be whatever you want it to be. So many people think they have to stick to the same 10 things and rotate through them. If that works for you, great! But it’s also ok to have more variety if that’s what makes you happy. I used to try to limit myself to a number, but I wasn’t happy with my closet. So I adjusted it to what I felt comfortable with and it’s been great ever since! Don’t force yourself into a box just for the sake of it.
This cardi is such a pretty color and only $25! Shop this look at Danithom.com/shop or in the @liketoknow.it app ❤️ http://liketk.it/2FSKO #liketkit #danithomblog
  • Heading back home today 🏡 I can’t wait to see my sweet babies!!! I miss them terribly. This weekend was wonderful and it was great to be with family, but I am definitely ready to be back in my own bed 🛌 with my fur babies invading my personal space 🐶🐶. How was your weekend?! • Cuddled up today in this cozy $30 OTS sweater 😍 It’s currently snowing here in Wisconsin so I’m curious how the wedding we’re here for will go later! Glad I brought my coat 😂. We’re right on the water BUT since it’s only 32 degrees right now, we’re just admiring from inside 🥶. How’s your Saturday??
