Work Wear Friday – April 13, 2018

Oh, Friday. How I love you. Today is one of my best friends (and bridesmaids) birthdays, Happy Birthday Toby!! And Oliver is cone free today :).

The best part of Friday is knowing I get to sleep in for the next 2 days haha. I love my weekends. I typically spend them creating content for the following week, doing homework, and enjoying doing nothing. We always go out for brunch on the weekends and that’s also something I look forward to because who doesn’t enjoy brunch?!

There are 2 places in KC that I’m obsessed with eating at and they are The Big Biscuit and First Watch. First Watch is my all time favorite because their waffles are so fluffy, but Big Biscuit is very close behind. Every time someone comes to visit me in KC, I take them there. My dad was here last June and he loved it, too, so we went every day! That’s how good it is.

Back to the work week, we finally finished one of the property closings we were working on this week so that took a big load off my plate. One down, two more to go. If you want to get a true sense of the weather here in KC, I wore a sweater on Monday because it was in the low 40’s, and by the middle of the week it hit 80 before going back down to the low 70s. The sun was out, thank you LORD. And it’ll be in the 40s again this weekend…boo.

Side note, New York & Co. had a big sale this week and I got a Spring Trench as well as a faux fur winter coat for $60 total!! That sale is over but they’ve only gone up by $10 so still a super solid thing to look at if you’re wanting new outwear. The Trench is waterproof and light weight so I am thrilled about it. The coat won’t do me much good until next winter but oh well, it was a steal!!

Here’s the looks of the week:

MONDAY

TUESDAY

WEDNESDAY PT 1

WEDNESDAY PT 2

THURSDAY

FRIDAY

sweater // similar top here and here // jeans // shoes (similar & less expensive)

Monday’s sweater is from one of my Stitch Fix boxes. I get complements every time I wear it! Not too light but not too heavy.

I will forever be wearing these leopard loafers from my last Trunk Club shipment. They’re so comfy and go with everything. They add such a fun flare to everyday outfits.

The Burgundy shirt from Tuesday (similar) is from TJMaxx and I’m pretty sure it was $10. Fantastic buy as I get a lot of love on it. It’s very soft. I paired it with a long pink stone necklace (similar, also love this one) to match these blush laser-cut open-toe booties (similar here & here, also love these) that are swoon-worthy for Spring. I’ve linked a bunch of similar options for you here.

I think Wednesdays outfit was my favorite this week. I got this cold-shoulder top (similar) from Marshalls for $12 and it’s also super soft and comfy. I am all about comfort, y’all. Especially at work. I was more on the casual side this week as we didn’t have any meetings so I wasn’t worried about anyone seeing me. The olive sweater gave me some color, but I didn’t wear it for long because it was 80 on Wednesday!! Oh my goodness it was sooo nice. I was happy this top was cold-shoulder!

I did have the trench on in the morning because it was in the high 40s, and I also wanted an excuse to wear it since it’s so pretty.

Thursday and Friday were feelin’ a little off for me this week. I’m so glad it’s almost the weekend — I need a break! Anyone else?!

Have a wonderful weekend y’all!

XO,

Dani
