Stitch Fix Review – July 9, 2018

stitch fix, stitch fix review, stitch fix athletic wear, athletic wear, subscription box

For this month’s Stitch Fix, I requested something a bit different. I actually meant to skip it, but completely forgot. Since our wedding is in 3 months, all of these things keep popping up! I’m trying to cut costs anywhere I can haha.

When I got the email saying my box was coming, I decided to ask for workout clothes. Affordable items that were pretty neutral and easy to mix and match.

If you haven’t noticed, I’m a HUGE lover of neutrals. I love things that can be paired with multiple different items and styled a variety of ways. Versatile pieces are the best pieces in my opinion!

If you’re unfamiliar with Stitch Fix, here’s the rundown:

  1. Create a FREE style profile at StitchFix.com.

This is the fun part! It’s simple and doesn’t cost a thing. Just give them an idea of your body type and what you like to wear. Upload links for your Pinterest page to give your stylist some inspiration!

  1. When you are ready, schedule your first fix.

After you complete the profile, you can set up a time to have your fix shipped out. Your personal stylist will hand-pick out 5 items just for you based on what you said in your style profile. There’s a $20 styling fee, which is applied toward whatever you keep from your fix! There’s no monthly subscription fee, and shipping is free both ways!

  1. Try on your hand-picked clothes.

The best part! You can try on your fix clothes with what you already have in your closet and see how things work together. You have 4 business days to try them on and decide what to keep. You can even extend that if you need more time!

  1. Check out online.

You can check out on your computer, or through the handy app. You leave feedback for each item for your stylist and let her know your thoughts so the next fix can be even better. You’ll see the $20 styling fee applied to your items here. If you keep all 5, you get a 25% discount on top of that!

  1. Return what you didn’t love.

Didn’t love all of it? Place any unwanted items into the pre-addressed envelope that came with your fix, and drop it in the mail. It’s that easy (and free)!

  1. Schedule your next fix!

You can schedule you next fix any time. You’re not obligated to have one every month. You can request items for special events like a wedding or vacation, get new things every season, or get them as often as every 2-3 weeks! I personally like to receive mine every 3 weeks, just because it’s something fun to look forward to.

Now, let’s see what came in this month’s box!

Since I am on a tight budget, I told myself I could only keep one piece. But that was more difficult than I expected as I liked everything that came!!

The cross-back tank fit perfectly. Loose but fitted is my ideal style, and I loved the back detail.

The Nike capris were so comfortable and great quality, as you can imagine. I liked the little pocket they had on the leg.

I really would have kept the sports bra, but it was too small :(. I thought about exchanging it, but I thought I have so many sports bras, it’s probably better that I keep a top instead.

The knit top was SO soft and comfy. I really liked how it fit, and I tied it to add a fun detail. It was a hard decision between this and the cross back one.

And lastly, these purple pants. Y’all. They felt like BUTTER. They were so incredibly soft. I didn’t want to take them off. And I loved the cute ruching detail! But being the most expensive item in the box, they were sadly destined to go back.

In the end, I wound up keeping the cross back top as I felt like I’d wear it more often. I really like how it fit and the fun back detail made the decision for me.
