This past weekend was my bachelorette party and bridal shower, and just wow, y’all. What an amazing weekend. I’m so thrilled to be able to share it with you all! We’ll start with what all we did Saturday for my Bachelorette party.

I have to start off by saying a HUGE THANK YOU to my sister (and Matron of Honor), Julie. She seriously went above and beyond planning everything out. She wanted it all to be a surprise, and somehow managed to pull it off without a hitch! I’m so beyond impressed with her and thankful that she put so much effort in to make it all amazing for me.

In case you’re new here, I moved to Kansas City in 2014 for work. My parents and my sister all live in Virginia, so that’s where I go when I go back home. I flew in Friday and had to rush to find a dress for what we were doing Saturday. I had ordered 3, but didn’t like any of them! Thankful we found a really cute one on clearance for $13! I was psyched. Unfortunately it’s sold out online, but can be found in store at Charlotte Russe! I’ve linked a similar version, and it has a romper version, too.

On Saturday morning, my sister brought me my amazing Harry Potter themed Bride shirt that says “I solemnly swear that we are up to no good”, which I absolutely loved. My best friends and I all LOVE Harry Potter; I even have a Harry Potter tattoo! It is very special to me as reading those books helped me through a lot of hard times in my life.

Julie told me everyone had the same theme of shirts but everyone’s said something different. I couldn’t wait to see them all. My sisters said Head of Mischief, My mom’s said Bride’s Mum, Courtney’s said Mischief Maid, Toby’s said Mischief Managed, and Carolina’s was my favorite saying “The Wedding doesn’t start until I Slytherin”.

We drove up to Baltimore, MD where we met up with the rest of my besties who make up most of my bridal party. I was so happy to see them! I only get to see them once a year typically, so this year will be wonderful as I’ll get to see everyone three times.

Our first activity of the day was to go on a Wacky Walk around the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. It was really fun! We started in one location and would have to follow clues and solve puzzles to get to the next location. We also had to do tasks and answer trivia questions. It took us all around and was really interesting to learn a bit more about Baltimore. It lasted for about 2 hours.

After the walk was over, we went for Brunch at Miasy’s. Their food was so good! They chose this spot because they know I LOVE brunch. Breakfast food is my favorite kind of food and they had things like red velvet waffles. Talk about a win.

When we finished eating, two of the girls went off to do something I wasn’t allowed to know about, and the rest of us went back to walk around the Inner Harbor. It was very warm, so we decided to do something inside to keep cool. There happened to be a Build-a-Bear shop in the shopping area, so we went in and I created a Bridal Bunny!

If you’ve never been to build-a-bear, I highly suggest you check it out. It’s not just for kids! You get to pick from your choice of animals, choose how much stuffing they get, and pick out an outfit for them. I picked a very pretty bunny and dressed her in a wedding dress, complete with veil and glass slippers. It was a really fun way to commemorate the day.

After we had finished walking around to pass the time, it was finally time for us to move on to the next thing. So we went to the hotel we would be staying at that night, and I found out that was where the other 2 girls had gone — to check in and decorate the room! The hotel was beautiful and historic; we stayed at the Lord Baltimore Hotel, and I highly recommend it!

We walked through a “brick wall” banner and the room was covered in balloons and engagement ring heart confetti. Carolina is very crafty, and she made hanging candles with tea lights to look like the Great Hall and cut out wings to put on the chocolate to look like little snitches. My favorite part was the banner that said “From Muggle to Mrs”. They really went above and beyond!

We took a bunch of pictures and got ready for a night out! I still wasn’t sure what we’d be doing, I just knew what I’d be wearing for it. I soon found out they were taking me on a Dinner Cruise around the Harbor! My sister got me a very pretty baby pink Bride to Be sash that I wore all night, and everyone was so nice! Asking about the wedding and congratulating me.

The food on the cruise was GREAT. They had a big buffet with so many options. We got to dance a bit and spent time on the upper deck and enjoy the sunset. It was so beautiful. It lasted for 3 hours and we had a ball!

After we got back to the hotel, we headed up to the rooftop bar to overlook the city at night. It was a beautiful view and a perfect night! We didn’t last long as we were all exhausted. The whole day was so full of wonderful things.

I am so thankful to all of my friends for planning everything out and participating together. It was so truly wonderful and I felt so loved. It was a perfect day!

Thank you for stopping by and following along!

XO,

Dani
