For our rehearsal dinner, I wanted it to be a fancier event. I love an excuse to look nice, so I requested the dress code be semi-formal or cocktail.

I stuck to the bridal theme throughout my wedding planning process, so I knew I’d wear a white dress. But I also knew I’d probably never wear it again, so I didn’t want to go TOO crazy on it. This brought me to the site Rent the Runway.

If you’ve never been to the site before, they have a TON of options for any kind of event you can imagine. Black tie, wedding, prom, you name it. There are a ton of reviews with people sharing their sizing info and how things fit them which really helped me figure out what size I needed. They let you pick the size you think you are and they also send you a second backup size for FREE! Which was super helpful because I picked a size 0 with a size 2 backup and the 2 fit much better!

Once you pick the outfit you want, you select the date you need it for, they ship it to you, you wear it and look fabulous, and then ship it back! It’s so easy. I got to wear a $400 dress and I only spent $80 for it! And the dress I wore is actually on sale right now for $45!!

My shoes are the same shoes I wore for my wedding. I wore them as much as I could before the wedding to break them in. I made sure to get shoes I could wear again that were dressy but not too “bridal”. I love the look of putting a Moto jacket over a nice dress to give it a little edge.

After the wedding, I shipped the dresses back in the bag they sent them in (which is cardboard free and environmentally friendly!) with the shipping label they included for me. It was so easy and smooth, I’ll definitely use them again.

We had our rehearsal dinner at one of my all time favorite restaurants — Cinzetti’s. It’s an Italian Buffet and their food is SOOO good. I wanted everyone to have variety, great food and to have our own private room. Everything went great and everyone loved the food. If you’re in the KC area and haven’t been there before, definitely do yourself a favor and check it out.

Have a wonderful Monday!

XO,

Dani
