Adding a new piece to my closet theses days means I need it to be versatile. I’ve tried to cut back on what I get so as not to spend SO much on clothes, but it’s hard when you love them like I do!

The criteria for me buying something is if I can think of multiple ways to style it. And as you probably know, my closet is pretty much all neutrals and they all work very well together. So this rule can be both a blessing and a curse.

The more expensive the item, the more ways I have to be able to style it. Now this cozy, oversized sweater was on sale for $34 when I got it and because it’s cream I knew it would go with pretty much everything in my closet. But these ideas came to mind first!

The first look is the cream on white. I love wearing white in fall and winter. Not only does it look amazing year round, but I love the naysayers who stick to the rule of “no white after labor day”. Can you really say NO to this outfit??

Next is just a casual look with some distressed jeans. I’m obsessed with these tan booties because they go with everything so easily. This one is probably my favorite look because it’s more “every day”. Give me a big cozy sweater and some distressed denim any day and I’m a happy girl.

Last, I decided to change up the hat to the black version and add some black jeans and booties. I love these distressed knee jeans — they’re SO comfortable. I even wear them to work with my OTK boots to hide the holes lol!

This sweater could easily be added to a capsule wardrobe and rotated seamlessly with a ton of different things. I also tried it with faux leather leggings and tucked into a suede skirt. It can go so many ways! Sweaters are wonderful because they can easily be dressed up or down depending on what you pair them with. I could wear this with slacks or sweat pants and it would look fine either way. Versatile pieces are the best! It would also make a great Christmas gift 😉

Which look is your favorite?!
