Fall/Winter Capsule Wardrobe Part 1 – Tops & Sweaters

I put a poll on Instagram recently asking if you guys wanted to see my fall capsule and the overwhelming answer was YES! Now, my capsule isn’t traditional in the sense of I don’t put a number limit on myself as long as I LOVE everything in my closet.

I do try to stick to the one in, one out rule which is typically pretty simple since I wear things more often and am ready for change sooner. I also tend to add a few pieces at the start of every season.

At first glance, you’ll notice I have 99% percent neutral pieces. My closet color palette is focused around neutral pieces with the accent colors of dark green and burgundy. I stick to this when shopping, and I also go for similar fits and styles that I know I love.

Many of the styles I go for are based off my capsule wardrobe mood board on Pinterest. I love finding outfits I love on Pinterest and recreating them or adding my own twist. When you’re trying to find/narrow down your own style, Pinterest is your best friend. Save all the oufits you love to a mood board for future inspo, it will make a huge difference when trying to out outfits together.

For this first part, I’m sharing my tops and sweaters for my fall and winter capsule. My clothes don’t change much between both seasons since it’s cold and I wear all the sweaters and layers. I’m excited to do this breakdown so you can get an up close look at everything and hopefully some ideas for your own styling.
